LED chip light-emitting diode classification method
    With the progress of lighting technology, recently developed into a white light bright diode, the formation of LED lighting this new industry.     According to the light-emitting tube light-emitting color is divided into:

    It can be divided into red, green (subdivided into yellow-green, standard green and pure green), blue light, etc.. In addition, some light-emitting diodes contain two or three colors of chips. According to the light-emitting diode light-emitting doped or not doped scattering agent, colored or colorless, the above various colors of light-emitting diodes can also be divided into colored transparent, colorless transparent, colored scattering and colorless scattering four types.    According to the light-emitting tube out of the light surface characteristics are divided into:


  (1)There are round lamps, square lamps, rectangular lamps, surface light-emitting tubes, lateral tubes, and miniature tubes for surface mounting.


  (2)Round lamps are divided into φ2mm, φ4.4mm, φ5mm, φ8mm, φ10mm and φ20mm according to their diameters. Overseas usually put φ3mm  light-emitting diodes as T-1; φ5mm as T-1 (3/4); φ4.4mm as T-1 (1/4). The circular luminous intensity angular distribution can be estimated from the size of the half-value angle.

 

    There are three types from the luminous intensity angular distribution graph:


   (a)Highly directional. Generally encapsulated in a pointed epoxy package or in a package with a metal reflective cavity and no scattering agent. Half-value angle of 5 ° ~ 20 ° or less, has a high directivity, can be used as a local illumination light source, or with the light detector used to form an automatic detection system.

 

   (b)Scattering type. These are indicators with a larger viewing angle, a half-value angle of 45° to 90° or greater, and a larger amount of scattering agent.
